Airbus A380 makes first flight

The superjumbo, capable of carrying 840 passengers flew for four hours and then landed. I'm thinking that with this many passengers, the waiting lines at the airports will take longer than transatlantic flights. Hope they give out peanuts while people are waiting.

What's wrong with the GOP?

The Republicans can't seem to get in gear. They are spinning their wheels on Social Security, screwing the pooch on judicial nominees and John Bolton. President Bush's approval ratings have tanked (we got 4 more years either way, so I don't care about this). What is the problem? Two words. Tom DeLay. No, not the trumped up bullshit "scandals," but rather the fact that the Republicans need more of him. We need a Tom DeLay in charge of every Senate committee. We need a Tom DeLay as senate majority leader. Had we this, things would be getting done.

The Democrats are practicing a tyranny of the minority in the senate, and getting away with it due to the likes of Arlen Specter and Richard Lugar as committee chairs, and a host of weak-kneed "moderates" who can't seem to get behind their POTUS. What is wrong with the states that keep electing wimpy Republicans? I would rather see Democrats elected than wimpy Republicans. At least we'd know where we stand. Democrats want a wimpy half-Republican in charge of the House majority, and will do whatever it takes to get it. The fact that Democrats have gone after Tom DeLay with such passion is testament to his effectiveness. Let's see if we can't get some more like him in charge of things in the Senate.

A thank you

I would like to personally thank the Minutemen for doing what our government and our President won't do. President Bush's lack of backbone in dealing with illegal immigration stands in strong contrast to his strength in dealing with terrorists.

The Mexicans have increased their military presence at the border in response to the Minutemen, and called on President Bush to protect illegal immigrants as they cross the desert. I know for a fact that President Bush knows how to use his middle finger. Mr. President, now would be a good time.

The Minutemen have been labeled vigilantes, but they are merely patriots concerned about their nation. More concerned than the President it would seem.

Liberal terrorists

Liberals can't be trusted for anything, except being douche bags. They always come through on that one. Conservative Pat Buchanan is the latest in a growing list of conservatives to be attacked for expressing his views at a forum in which he was invited to do so. He had salad dressing poured on him. This follows Bill Krystol being attacked by a pie wielding delinquent while speaking (the pie also hit the President of the university, which will probably get this genius expelled), which follows Ann Coulter being attacked by a pie wielding delinquent who "throws like a girl" according to Miss Coulter (he's lucky he didn't get bitch-slapped by Ann). A Democrat throwing like a girl is nothing to be surprised about, women and men of the liberal persuasion are becoming nearly indistinguishable. Even if you check hormone levels, I suspect the men have the greater amount of estrogen and the women the greater of testosterone. And even the few Democrats who aren't gay are "metrosexual" which means they're gay, but still want to be electable. They are no Curt Shilling, who throws like a man, and is, naturally, a Republican...but I digress...

These attacks follow the recent election in which Democrats shot and ransacked various Republican Party HQs around the country. Democrats have become much like the terrorists in that no matter how much they violently attack those who disagree with their views, they are still losers getting their asses kicked again and again and again by manly Americans. As with the terrorists, look for the attacks to increase as they get their asses kicked worse and worse...
